finally getting to posting some of the minis i made for the @worth_gallery circa 4x4 art show! these are two out of eleven paintings i made for the show. i’ll (hopefully) be posting some of the rest that i made sometime this week.

i had been doing some reading about moths in serbian folklore a few weeks ago and that was inspiration for these two. im working on another piece that will explore that in more detail, so keep an eye out for that.

and in the patterns, she thought she could see her home. she thought she could see her mother. and in the distance she even thought she could see her home woven into the patterns.

i think i actually ended up liking this bright middle stage of this painting more than the final. oh well, you live and you learn. i’m not entirely happy with this one but i gotta move on.

also i definitely accidentally spilt the varnish 🫠
